  • Actions and Words

    The gift of life is an action. Living is an action. Growing is an action.

    Communicating starts at a young age. The first words a baby speaks are often the words their parents repeat to them. Momma and Papa are often the first words a baby speaks. As the family grows together the baby learns more words from their family and begins to speak full sentences.

    When a couple create a safe and stable home together their opportunities to make a healthy and strong family increase.

    Creating a safe and stable home requires a lot of work that doesn’t end. The neighborhood where their home is in has a large effect on the safety and stability of their home. The community one or both of them work in has a large effect on the couples ability to maintain a healthy, safe and stable home.

    The stronger the communities economy is the better for everyone in the community. A strong economy creates more opportunities for everyone in it and those opportunities can grow and expand to other neighboring communities.

    A thriving community maintains its strength and grows through the actions and the words of it members.

    In the United States the leader of a city or a town is usually the Mayor elected by the constituent’s of the community voting for the candidate. A Mayor is elected for a specific amount of time. When a Mayor’s term is up they might be elected again or a new Mayor might be elected as the leader of the community.

    It makes sense that a Mayors term is not permanent and can not be elected over and over again. New leadership brings new ideas to a community. Every member of a community does not see eye to eye on every decision their Mayor makes.

    One member of a community has a different ideology than another member of the community. Voting to elect a Mayor to lead a community is how members with competing beliefs choose the winner.

    This is called civilization. It’s not perfect. While striving for a perfect union is an ideal to work on, a community is made up of individuals from different places with different upbringings and life experiences unique to them.

    When you consider the President of the United States Union Address speech in a news report many people like it and many people don’t like it. That is one part of living in society.

    In the community I live in this morning I woke up safe and sound on my bed soon after 5am. I brought my dog to the park nearby and we went on a walk. When we got home I cooked breakfast and fed my dog and filled the bowl of water for the dog to lap up through the day. I ate then I drove to a cafe in Town where I sat at a table and sipped two cups of hot coffee with cream and raw sugar. I wrote in my journal and chatted with the barista. He’s new to the area.

    When I got home I checked in with work and am on call for the day. I work for People Ready, a local temp to hire employment agency for nearly 5 years. Most of the work I do involves physical endurance. I clean new construction sites. I’ve helped load furniture and moved people’s possession’s to their new home. I’ve worked as a roadside flagger helping direct traffic in construction zones. I’ve worked as a driver with a rental car company delivering vehicles to Airports. Working for People Ready often involves working in a variety of settings. People Ready is a national company with offices around the country. People Ready is a True Blue Inc. company with an international workforce. Life is a miracle and a blessing. The simple joy of waiving hello to a neighbor I saw walking her dog this morning goes a long way.

    Many people working together made this possible. The roads I drove on this morning are clear and safe to travel because of the men and women who work for the city maintaining the roads and the traffic lights. The electricity at home and in the cafe is solid that enabled me to cook breakfast on the electric range stove top and turn the lights on before dawn and most likely helped the barista brew coffee for his patrons because of the men and the women who work for the city maintaining the electric grid for the community.

    The park where I brought my dog on a walk lawn is maintained and green mowed by men and women who work for the city and watered with sprinklers.

    The water I poured out of my kitchen sink in the apartment I lease was clean and clear as usual. I used it to brew a cup of coffee after I got out of bed. The water is safe to drink and bathe in and to water lawns for the community because of the men and women who work for the city maintaining the water.

    I was able to call in to work because my cellphone service is solid as usual thanks to the men and women who maintain the nearest cell tower for the community and to the men and women who put communication satellite’s in outer space and maintain them.

    I was able to post this because my internet service provider is solid as usual thanks to the men and women who maintain the fiber optics cables for the community that stream data enabled me to connect to internet from my home.

    Everything I’ve written in this post is agreeable and rational to me. As a 48 year old man who was born in USA and grew up in USA and live in USA for my whole life other than vacationing in foreign countries I view this as how the United States is designed to work for US Citizens. Instead of focusing on the country as a whole I focus on my community where I have the greatest impact.

    The country has an effect on my community and my community has a strong and thriving economy that is expanding to neighboring communities.

    The two most popular political ideologies that make up USA are the Democratic party and the Republican party. Americans who identify as a Democrat or a Republican include themselves in this spectrum from extreme left, to left, to center, to right, to extreme right.

    People in my community hold many different political beliefs. I consider myself a Democrat to the left of center, and I recognize that a healthy community includes people with different perspectives working together.

    I have a strong independent streak. Much of my time I spend alone and I enjoy socializing with my co-workers family and friends. I enjoy meeting new people at Church and volunteering and in my community.

    My home is in Medford Oregon’s Rogue Valley where I live for 9+ years. The first time I visited Oregon’s Rogue Valley I was 21 and here to visit my family. I’m from Boulder Colorado, half way across the country where I did a lot of growing up. At 27 I moved to Rogue Valley to live with my family. Three years later I moved back to Los Angeles California.

    I love Oregon and the Rogue Valley and am learning to love Medford more and more. So much of Oregon is beautiful. I love Oregon’s Pacific Coast, the Redwoods, the Mountains and the rivers and lakes and living in the valley.

    I enjoy living in town and being able to drive 15 minutes to a hiking trail above the valley and immerse myself in nature.

    My family have moved away from Oregon, far away to Florida, Georgia, Hawaii and more of my family live in Colorado.

    Making new friends with people outside of work and church and volunteering is fun and requires effort. It requires more effort because there are more variables. Making new friends opens my mind to new perspectives and new opportunities

    Life is much more than a box of chocolates. I’m reminded of this in my neighborhood. I live two blocks away from Providence Hospital on Crater Lake Avenue. From the street and sidewalk the sign for the hospital reads Emergency entrance and also birthing center.

    This is the world we live in. Health emergency’s are treated for in the same hospital where new born baby’s are delivered. I see the sign to Providence Hospital almost daily and am reminded that very unfortunate truths about a persons health are treated for and hopefully recovery is possible. I am also reminded that there might be a newborn baby coming into this world. I look at the sign with hope and care and feel fortunate the hospital is close to my home.

  • A worthy reason to migrate

    While it makes sense to be financially prepared before moving to another country, having enough money to migrate to another country is not possible for many men women and children escaping oppression and violence by the hands of the government where they are from. Weather and environmental hazards such as Earthquakes as an example can be just as devastating reason to migrate in some situations.

    In the United States Americans work hard for the freedoms we have. US is financially the wealthiest country on Earth. US has the most powerful military on Earth. Americans can travel to many countries around the world and feel a sense of security that many people in foreign countries can’t travel to and don’t feel the same sense of security when visiting.

    This freedom Americans experience when traveling internationally has much to do with allies we’ve created with foreign governments over many generations and US military presence in many foreign countries.

    This is good for US Citizens traveling on vacation, to work and when migrating to a foreign country. Our strongest allies share some of the same freedoms Americans have when it comes to traveling the world.

    Border security around United States is very important. Keeping border security strong along international borders keeps unwanted people out of United States and helps US authorities know who where and when Americans leave US and return to US.

    As the country with the most financial wealth and the most powerful military Americans have a large responsibility and would be wise to use our power very carefully at our international borders and when on vacation, working and migrating to a foreign country.

    The total number of people living in United States is 4.2% of the total number of people on Earth. One statistic indicates the total number of people on Earth is 8.2 billion. Approximately 349 million of humanity as a whole are living in United States. The rest of humanity living outside of United States are approximately seven billion eight hundred fifty five million six hundred thousand humans.

    Americans are better off focusing on helping our citizens living in US and solving our problems in our country. When it comes to helping citizens of foreign countries Americans can do a lot of good. Knowing where to send foreign aid is a controversy. US are not allies with every foreign country. In fact we are in a violent conflict with the foreign government of the country of Iran for example. Until there is lasting peace between US and Iran it doesn’t make sense to attack them and to send them foreign aid at the same time.

    Terrorism is an ongoing threat to Americans in US and around the world. US are not allies with every foreign country. Foreign countries such as Russia and North Korea for examples have tepid relations at best with US. This has to do with wars US was in with these countries in the past. And with the war Russia is in with Ukraine our ally. The Korean war ended a long time ago. The cold war ended not as long ago. Those wars are both over and done. Still, relations between US and these foreign countries are not at ease.

    While most destinations on Earth are safe for Americans to travel to there are many human destinations that are not safe for Americans. Before planning to travel to a foreign country you might want to check with the US Embassy of the foreign country and learn travel advice to the country as a whole and to specific destinations in the country.

    Chaos from violence against other people and chaos from weather hazards continue in United States and around the world. Weather hazards and violence against other people displace men women and children every day all around the world. The US Government can only accomplish so much to alleviate loss of life from hazardous weather. Hazardous weather is not always predictable and often surprising to everyone it effects. Sometimes violence is the answer to win a war. To uplift people from an oppressive government violence might be the answer.

    Voting doesn’t effect the weather however voting to put more money into building architecture that is more secure against the effects of hazardous weather helps save lives. Voting doesn’t stop a violent act but voting to make sure there’s enough money to hire and employ police to work in a community saves lives.

    There are locations around the world that look like some of United States most dangerous neighborhoods. Reasons a neighborhood is dangerous are many and often have to do with the history of the neighborhood and the government of the country of the neighborhood. Political instability often leads to a poor economy. A country that has been in war after war for many generations might have a very fragile economy.

    In United States what a strong economy is and what a fragile economy is, have many definitions made by many Americans. Typically the political party in power says they are making the economy stronger from shambles an apposing political party left it in. This changes every 4 to 8 years.

    I urge the Trump Administration to let Venezuelan citizens who are trying to leave the rubble of their homes from the very recent Earthquakes in Venezuela a welcome to live and work in safety and invite to migrate to US.

  • WAR

    The war against Iran is stressing me out. I haven’t been able to sleep at night well for the last three nights. The last time I felt this stressed was when I was homeless.

    I don’t like that the news calls it the war with Iran. The war is clearly against Iran. US and Israel instigated and started the war against Iran.

    I feel like we’ve just begun the war against Iran and it is in it’s infancy.

    I wanted to believe that the mistle strike at an Iranian girls school was propaganda. That’s what I thought at first. I’ve watched the story in the news and now I believe Iran’s version of the story that it was a US mistle that blew up a girls school in Iran. According to US news the intel was outdated and the school was near an Iranian military base. I don’t believe that the US intentionally targeted the Iranian school with a mistle but non the less the US did strike the Iranian school with a mistle.

    As much as 175 Iranian girls died in a mistle strike launched by the US military. This is unacceptable. President Donald Trump is denying that the US military launched a mistle at a girls school in Iran. I don’t trust Trumps word.

    I am against the war. I want the war to end. The war has killed over 1000 Iranians and cost the US $1 billion dollars per day. The US has already spent over 30 billion dollars on the war. Over 50,000 US military personnel are in the middle east. The next phase of the war is near. The next phase of the war could change from mistle and drone and air force strikes against Iran to the US military to include US troops on the ground in Iran to fight Iran’s military.

  • Two countries, two leaders, two agendas

    I turned 48 years old just over one week ago. If I was thirty years younger I’d be a little concerned about being drafted into the US Military. Today is March 6th 2026. I’m not overly worried about US Citizens being forced to join the Military. I don’t know a lot about the Military. I tried to enroll in the Military once when I was 30 years old and homeless and turned away due to mental health weaknesses.

    I learned from searching Google there are over 2 million men and women serving in active duty and reserve duty in the Military. 750,000 to 775,000 of those men and women serving in the Military are in reserve duty. Most of the men and women serving in the Military are serving in active duty. That doesn’t mean that every man and woman serving in active duty in the Military will be sent to a foreign country. That doesn’t mean that every man and woman serving in active duty in the Military will travel to and fight in combat.

    Being the most lethal military on Earth has some to do with perception. Perception we have as Americans and the perception foreign nations have about the US Military are we are the most lethal military on Earth. That’s the story shared in new reports from reporters communicating directly with members of the US Government for many years. While US is a super power so are China and Russia and North Korea and none of those countries are our closest allies.

     I firmly believe that most men and women in the Military will never fight in combat. Many of the men and women in the military serve on ships and submarines and in fighter jets. Members of the military operating ships, submarines and fighter jets and bomber airplanes are often the first men and women called to fight in a war. The understanding is that American lives are saved when we kill our enemies from a safe distance with bombs and mistles and drones.

     My understanding watching as a civilian from a safe distance at home in the US on news reports is that men and women in the military are asked to serve in combat missions less and when that happens it is more often to help manage foreign civilians in a foreign country United States is at war with.

     This doesn’t mean that there are no American casualties when USA is at war. US fighter jets have been shot out of the sky and the pilots have not always been able to parachute to safety and have died in combat. American ships and submarines have been sunk by foreign militaries that have killed nearly everyone on board in the past. Often in war many lives are lost.

     While being drafted to join the Military has been forced on US Citizens in the past, I doubt that will happen again. Americans are continually joining the Military and continually being honorably discharged from the Military. No one wants to die in war and that is one of the sacrifices the men and women of the US Military have done and prepare themselves to do. This is called the ultimate sacrifice.

    I think the Trump Administration would be wise to create some distance between Israel and US interests. Currently Benjamin Netanyahu has said he will kill the new leader of Iran. At the same time Trump is saying he want’s to help pick the new leader of Iran. This puts Trump and Netanyahu at odds. This is not wise.

    US and Israel are the two main aggressors in the war against Iran. US and Israel do not fight side by side. The leaders of our separate nations have different agendas regarding the next leader of Iran.

    If all Israel sees is blood in their eyes towards a leader of Iran and USA wants to help choose who the next leader of Iran is that is a conflict of interest.

    It makes sense that different countries have different agendas and as allies US and Israel should get on the same page that the next leader of Iran should be a leader who works towards peace in Iran and in the Middle East to include peace with Israel and with USA.

    Israel needs to forgive and forget and learn that for there to be lasting peace in Iran and no threats from Iran, Iran needs to have a leader who will guide their people in peace. For Iran to be at peace and not threaten other countries Iranian civilians need to know that they and their leader are not threatened by Israel and USA.

    May peace prevail.

  • Peering through social media

    I’m witnessing safe here at home in USA on my phone, messages videos, and news reports of destruction and violence in Mexico. It’s sad to see the chaos that is unfolding in Mexico. A crime boss was killed by the Mexican Military, and the chaos is in response to the death of their crime boss.

    Now is not a good time to travel to Mexico. It’s not safe in Mexico even for Mexican citizens. Criminals in Mexico are burning property and causing chaos to intimidate Mexicans and everyone in Mexico who are not involved in crime.

    Now that the crime boss is dead, I’m guessing that the criminals are experiencing an identity crisis. The criminals have no leader. Without a leader they’ve lost control. The most profitable criminal activity in Mexico is probably the trafficking of cocaine to United States.

    It’s sad to watch the destruction and violence even safe from a distance. I’m glad I don’t use illegal drugs anymore. I’m glad I’m no longer an addict. I’m glad I no longer associate with criminals. I’m glad I know no criminals in the community I live in.

    I’ve been sober for almost 13 years. I moved halfway across the US to a different State and community away from the criminal activity and criminals I associated with when I was an addict.

    It’s good to be here. Safe and sound.

    In the long run, possibly many years from now cocaine will become legal to consume in United States. If that happened, it could be controlled and taxed similar to how marijuana became legal in many States in United States. The quality would be controlled, and it would be less dangerous. Age limits would be required to purchase cocaine, and less youth would become addicted to it.

    Deaths and violence from the transportation and use of cocaine would decrease. These are positive things that would happen with legalization of cocaine in US.

    In Mexico south all the way to South America the legalization of cocaine in the US would have a ripple effect south of the US border. Crime south of the US border would decrease. Violence and killings south of the US border would decrease.

    I am not sympathetic to criminals, and I am not sympathetic to the crimes they commit. Illegal drugs are illegal for good reasons. Addiction causes many problems to the user and to everyone transporting and selling the drug all the way from where the drug was grown and manufactured.

    Legalizing cocaine won’t stop people from becoming addicts. Legalizing cocaine would not stop people from overdosing and dyeing from consuming it. Legalizing cocaine would reduce overdoses and deaths from consuming cocaine.

    I am for reducing overdoses and reducing deaths due to the consumption of cocaine. I am for the Government to control cocaine. I believe that the best way for the Government to control cocaine is by changing the laws around cocaine.

    If it was legal for adults to possess a small amount of cocaine in the US for recreational purposes on private property, the trafficking of cocaine would have to be controlled and legalized. There would have to be a retail store where the quality of the drug was controlled and only sold in small quantities to adults. The retail store could only be licensed to operate by the Government in a commercial property zone not near any school.

    I knew from being an addict to cocaine for many years that intimidation and paranoia were reasons why I would continue to seek out a drug dealer. Being addicted to cocaine ruined my physical and mental health. Over years I spent many thousands of dollars buying cocaine I consumed. I was often paranoid. I  risked my health and safety and the health and safety of others every time I bought and used cocaine.

    There was no safe place to buy cocaine. The drug dealer was often intimidating and threatening. There was no guarantee that the cocaine I bought wasn’t mixed with a dangerous toxin making it more dangerous and more detrimental to my health. I risked my freedom every time I bought cocaine.

    Every time a person buys an illegal drug they are actively involved in crime. Every time a person possesses an illegal drug they are actively involved in crime.

    Crime is not the answer. Being around illegal activity is bad news. It’s important that illegal substances are controlled by the Government and there are better ways.

  • America

    I want it all to go away. The hate, the fascism, the lies, the warrantless detaining of Americans, the disappearing of my fellow Americans, the corruption, the intimidation, Trump and his team of goons, all of it, gone. That’s what I want. I want Trump to be held accountable and locked in prison for many years for his many, many crimes against Americans and for being complicit in wars against humanity.

     I don’t want to wait three years for this to happen. I want Trump removed from office now. ICE has caused so much heartache, deaths and separation of honest hardworking families in our country. ICE needs to be toned down by 80%. I want the mass murders and killings to stop. Immigrants make America great.

    I am considered a blue dot, a Democrat in a Republican county with more red dots, more republicans. It makes me sick to see all the hatred Americans have for their fellow Americans. It makes me sick to see the hatred and killings in the news every time I turn on the television.

    The United States are led by an authoritarian fascist tyrannical Government. It’s disgusting. ICE are a bunch of racist thugs who hide their faces from their victims. This is not the America I grew up in. This is not the America I’ve lived in for 48 years.

    This new form of Government is pitting people against each other, causing chaos and unrest. It’s very sad to watch videos of Americans scared for themselves, their families and their children, scared of the Government. It’s sad to witness all the destruction and erosion of trust that has come from Trump in power. I wish I could do something to help people who are being targeted by the Government.

     I wish I could tell them they are safe and can resume going about their lives normally again. It’s traumatic what the Government are doing to it’s own people. All Trump does is lie, he’s an actor and a bad one at that. He says people are being paid to protest and that is a lie.

    The murder of Renee Good by ICE agent Jon Ross feels like a tipping point. America, United States is deeply wounded. The bloodshed needs to stop. The violence and bigotry and racism needs to stop.

     Peacefull protestors have been detained and arrested, tear gassed and shot with rubber bullets. These are difficult times. America is not respected around the world like we have been in the past. America is feared and laughed at and people of safer more law-abiding countries look at us and are sad to see this country in such disarray.

    Trump is making United States an enemy on the world stage. An enemy of countries around the globe. Trump is a crooked old man a racist and a bigot and a danger to Americans everywhere.

    Remember to vote. By voting we’ll impeach Trump. By voting we’ll elect a good leader into office with a new Administration. A respectful leader who looks out for Americans and welcomes immigrants to this country. A leader who will work for all of us. An honorable leader.

    Today is January 15th 2026 and most of the year is ahead of us. It’s not going to be easy. There will be many difficulties ahead of us. Americans need to come together and work together and get Trump out of office. Trump must be held accountable. 

    In November are the mid-term elections and our chance to regain control of the house of representatives and regain control of the Senate and regain control of Congress.

    There is a lot of hard work a head of us. Hard work is good work. Hard work is honest work. Together we can unite this nation and pull it out of the rubble and ash the current Administration is responsible for and rise up strong and bright and lead with freedom for the people.

    We can lead with respect and with dignity. We can lead with generosity and care. We can overcome and take back our country from the evil grip holding onto it. We will overcome.

    We will lead with intelligence and restraint and respect for people’s differences. We will lead by respecting women’s rights and respecting women’s rights to make their own health care decisions and their own decisions about reproduction.

    We will encourage people to vote and to get an education. We will encourage people to better themselves and look out for people in their community. We will make health care affordable.

    We will extract our military from foreign countries where we are not needed. We will stop funding foreign wars. We will protect our citizens. We will accept that climate change is real and work with industry to reduce pollution in America and everywhere around the world where we are responsible for it.

    We will remove corrupt politicians from power and lock them in prison. America and United States will become a better place to live and raise a family. A better country to invest in and a better country to migrate to.

     We will reduce gun violence and make it a crime for private citizens to own weapons designed for the military. We will make background checks on the purchase of guns and rifles stronger and universal in United States. We will encourage diversity in the workplace and in our communities.

    We will make it easier for every day Americans to compete in business and make it easier to start and run a business. We will make the wealthiest Americans pay more taxes. We will learn to respect and encourage our GLBTQ members of our communities. We will learn to respect Trans men and women and make life easier for them.

     We will honor our past and write clear honest records of our history. We will respect native Americans and ensure that they have equal opportunities to live the American dream. We will take care of homeless people and create more opportunities for homeless people to move into housing. We will fight crime and fight addiction.

    We will make it easier for people with mental health problems to get treatment and support. We will lower the cost of prescription drugs. Just like the Trump Administration has transformed the US economy, the look and feel of what it is to be American, Democrats will transform the US economy making it a better safer place to live and making it feel better and look better and more enjoyable to live.

  • Kill em with kindness

    Remember this, just because someone didn’t go to or graduate from college doesn’t make them MAGA. Trump the man child resonating with uneducated Americans is not about stupidity. Stupid and uneducated are not the same.

    Uneducated people have a moral compass, care about people who are different than themselves, care about immigrants, equality, LGBTQ+ individuals and the environment. Trump used threats and fear to rally support. College educated people are better prepared at responding to threats and a fear-based person attempting to lead and that’s a big reason why we didn’t vote for Trump.

    Calling people stupid doesn’t win them over, it doesn’t encourage them to think for themselves. When a person is called stupid over and over again, they respond to threats and fear in unhealthy ways when undereducated Americans voted for Trump.

    The way forward is to not insult Americans and to not call Americans stupid. The way to vote better leaders into office is by encouraging Americans to be better people and think for themselves.

    We are stuck with Trump for another year. If we impeach Trump next year we need all the support we can get, that includes treating MAGA with emotional support and encouragement to impeach.

    Calling people stupid and saying MAGA is a cult doesn’t support their ability to make a resounding vote by Americans to impeach. Forgiving the vote for Trump is the way to encourage MAGA to vote and elect better officials.

    The majority of American voters responding to Trump had to do with preexisting problems in American entertainment. What Americans consider entertainment apposed to what Americans consider cruelty is a big problem. Calling people dumb and stupid is not entertaining; it perpetuates fear and is threatening.

    Encourage undereducated Americans to impeach Trump by being kind. Lead with compassion and with care towards Americans regardless of who they voted for.

    Stand up for yourself and others. Speak out against tyranny and authoritarianism. Speak up for immigrants and the environment and against Trump. I believe it would be difficult to forgive Trump for deporting a law-abiding American immigrant member of your family. There is a lot of hate and rage about Trump for doing this.

    Center the hate and rage in your core and melt it into compassion. Fight hate with kindness, This is how we will overcome.

  • One good consumer

    I’ve been an active consumer since I started buying things on my own as a young boy many years ago. About 99% of the things I buy are at a set price. That means 1% of what I buy the price is negotiable. I can’t remember the last time I bought something and negotiated the price of the thing with the seller. I was probably on vacation in Costa Rica and talked down the seller from their asking price for a piece of their art on sale in an open air market.

     Sometimes I buy vegetables and fruit from local farms at the weekly open air market in town. The prices are always listed and I’m buying for me and not a large crowd of people so there’s no reason to negotiate a lower price for a large purchase of vegetables. Expecting a set price is normal market behavior when buying in person in stores in U.S. The same applies when buying things on the internet. I buy things for me and not for a large number of people.

    Politicians in Washington D.C. often have to negotiate the cost of a law they want to implement with the other side of the aisle. Their negotiations on a cost of putting a law into action effects US Citizens in US and US Citizens living around the world. Their negotiations effect everyone living in US including illegal immigrants. Currently in Washington D.C. the top order of the day every day until the Government reopens is the amount of money needed in the budget to reopen the Government for a specific amount of time.

     Negotiations are ongoing. When the Government reopens it will come with a future date when new negotiations on a budget to fund the Government will require an agreement by both sides of the aisle. That’s what a budget is, a specific amount of money to spend in a specific amount of time.

     Both sides of the aisle are on different sides of the argument regarding illegal immigrants. Republicans are saying Democrats want to provide free health care to illegal immigrants. It’s a lie. Democrats know that illegal immigrants in US are not eligible to receive health insurance.

    While most US Citizens have a health care policy every US Citizen does not. Health care and health insurance are not the same. Care is not insurance and insurance is not care. Having health insurance is very important and it’s not the same as being cared for by a health care worker.

     A health insurance policy is an agreement between a insurance company and health care workers and the individual who’s health insurance policy’s name is in. As an American I care for my fellow Americans. My care is not that of a health care worker. I write. I write about people, places and things.

     US Citizens are American and not every American are a US Citizen. America reaches from the US State of Alaska in North America going through the foreign country of Canada to US all the way down to the foreign country of Costa Rica in Central America to the foreign country of Chile in South America. People from America are Americans. America is much larger than the country United States.

     Where you’re from matters and why you’re in United States matters. Whether you were born in US or migrated here from a foreign country matters. How you came to US matters. Why you’re here matters and what you’re doing here matters. If you are in US illegally our forces are working to bring you to justice. Democrats and Republicans disagree on many topics, it seems to be in our nature to disagree with the party on the other side of the aisle. If you are a US Citizen research, learn, ask questions, get informed, pick a political party or be independent. It’s your choice, up to you to choose and your right as a US Citizen to support a candidate and vote for them.

  • I’m very glad that Barack Obama was POTUS for eight consecutive years. The fact goes to show that Americans can and do show humanity. While before Obama was president there were many successful Black Americans in business, with US Government careers and in entertainment it was Obama who rose to the highest office in the nation. For the first time an official representing the Black minority led the country. Before Obama was POTUS there was more intimidation minorities experienced when it came to leadership roles in the US Government and business. Black entertainers have had a solid foothold in American culture for many generations but the farther you look back in history, Black people and people of many other minorities working in entertainment were subjugated to smaller roles and reduced pay and often received roles that portrayed the individual as uneducated and unintelligent.

     I am Generation X and grew up learning how Martin Luther King united Americans around US and was a humanitarian leader people around the world celebrated. MLK is no longer with us. MLK has been no longer with us for many years. It was good news for Americans and for humanity when Barack Obama was elected POTUS. Barack Obama became not only a leader of Black people but a leader of Americans and a global leader for humanity. America and US has done a lot of healing since Obama’s Presidency from 2008-2016. For the first time minorities around US looked to a leader that represented everyone.

    While there were many Americans and US Citizens who did not vote for Obama and did not want him to be POTUS and were discouraged with Obama leading US and America, more US Citizens voted for him and were glad he was leading the country. Power struggles are part of life. There are always people and groups and individuals trying to have the most power and control. That is human nature and that is an aspect of humanity.

     The current POTUS Donald Trump is unique and original like every POTUS throughout history. Donald Trump leads Americans and the US and appeals more to white people. White people are the cultural majority in United States. Having a white American as POTUS is not new. Every POTUS throughout US history was white accept Obama. More and more over time white US Citizens make up less of the population.

     I grew up in a predominately white community in US. That was normal to me. At 26 I moved to Los Angeles California where I experienced for the first time living in a very culturally diverse city. I was excited, and I was challenged. It was challenging to be around and meet people from different cultures most of the time. White people are a minority in Los Angeles. I was not used to residing in the community as a minority and living as a minority when I was in public. Deep down inside I felt threatened. I felt threatened that most of the people I saw and met skin color was darker than mine. I felt uncomfortable when I passed through a largely gay neighborhood.

    In truth what I perceived as threats were not threats at all and were challenges of living in a community new to me and very different than where I am from and very far away from the community I was born into. I moved far away from Los Angeles since and am grateful for the challenges I experienced living in Southern California. Overcoming challenges makes an individual stronger. While living in a culturally diverse community could present challenges for people from smaller communities with less diversity, cities are a part of life on Earth and civilization as we know it. Cities tend to be more culturally diverse than towns.

     I would not trade my past living in the city for the world. Living in the city has to do with who I am today. Moving far away from where you were brought up is challenging for everyone who embarks on the adventure. Every adventure does not end in success. What’s normal in one place is considered strange and unheard of in another place. The financially wealthiest people on Earth are challenged when moving to live and reside in a community far away from where they were brought up. Many people never move far from where they were brought up. Often when someone moves away into a community that is new to them it is for a work opportunity that did not exist where they are from.

     Other times the reason to move is greater than a new work opportunity. The reason to move might involve romance, adventure, being in a new place and meeting people in a community beyond the same faces and places where a person is brought up. Be careful out there.

    My post today is about ways to be an American United States Citizen and be proud of who you are while being sensitive to people around the world who do not have freedoms Americans do. First of all, Freedom isn’t free. People around the world should feel free to live in the country where they were born. Even in United States this freedom to live in US when you were born in US is being questioned.

    If a US Citizen breaks the law I think they should be held accountable and brought to justice. I don’t think they should be deported. The idea that US Citizens could be deported makes no sense. Dual citizens for example of United States and Mexico have more freedoms to live and travel between both countries. This might seem like a great freedom but in fact it means much more. If you are a dual citizen of US and Mexico it is inferred that you are loyal to both countries. US and Mexico are allies and we share our southern border. It’s easier for US Citizens to travel back and forth to and from Mexico.

    Mexicans have a more difficult time traveling back and forth between US and Mexico for several reasons. United States economy is stronger that Mexico’s economy. Mexicans often want to migrate to US because of opportunities in US that are not available in Mexico. Americans from as far south as Chile travel north to Mexico trying to migrate to US. When they arrive at the US Mexico border it’s difficult for US Border Patrol to identify what country they are from.

    The US Mexico border is the last line of defense US Citizens have from keeping unwanted Americans out of United States. What makes an American born south of United States border want to migrate to United States include many reasons. Their reasons are not always good enough. Just like any country around the world, United States wants citizens with good reasons to be here. Being born in United States is a good reason to live in US most of the time. By most I mean the vast majority of the population of United States who were born in US deserve the right to live in US.

    US Citizens who live in US and commit a crime should be held accountable and brought to justice that includes serving time in jail or prison in United States. I don’t understand why a US Citizen who is found to have committed a crime would be deported. US soil is precious. US prisons are often overpopulated. It’s still US soil on US land. And people in jail and in prison should serve their time until their sentence is done.

    Be a law abiding citizen is what to do. Many US Citizens break the law and should be held accountable and brought to justice and serve time in jail or prison in US. Many more US Citizens are law abiding. That’s the way to live.

    An American born south of the US border who wants to migrate to US might want to claim political asylum. If the country they fled is killing or mistreating their citizens is a reason a person born in a foreign country might have to apply to US Government claiming political asylum.

    The world overall is safe for people in their own country and that is not the case in every country around the world. Were there are wars citizens of war torn countries have good reasons to leave to a country that accepts them if they are not going to fight back or can’t fight back.

    Americans in US have it good. We are free to live in our country and we are free to travel and migrate to a foreign country. These are precious freedoms. Life is precious.
